I raced my first Can-Am car for a stunning blonde named "Willy Nellie" who I believe was the first woman car owner in the series.  She later married Dick Guldstrand.

My first drive for her was at Mosport.  The ride got me into prominence to race the Can-Am the following season for Oscar Koveleski, in the Jerobee McLaren.

The Lola T-70 was a limited piece of machinery.  Lots of Big Block Power, but poor handling.  By the way Vic Elford also drove the car, his start in Can Am as well.
