1967 – Fred Opert Trans Am Racing
After my time was up at Group 44 in late 67, they did not have a contract to run Trans Am, so I pursued some racing for Fred Opert Racing in New Jersey. Ended up driving his Porsche 911. It was not a good car, engine needed rebuilding badly. No funds available to do that, however I learned a great deal about the car.
I left Fred Opert after the 67 season was over and returned to Falls Church, VA.
